AMISTAD The movie Amistad, It gave me a good idea of the Amistad case that had happened in 1839-1841. Amistad was a movie about real events that had happened. A large group of Africans were taken as slaves, sold and headed off to their land. …showed last 75 words of 875 total…that case. I can look hack at the Amistad case and think that they had an impact on how we are today. We do not tolerate slavery. And their case had to do with it. I'm so glad that the 13th amendment stands in out constitution. I think that the Amistad committee were very helpful and were very important in history, as well as the trial which taught us all something. The importance of freedom.
