Although it will obliterate the idea of the “forbidden fruit”(84) and maybe the “unsafe atmosphere” that Whelen thinks is created by denying young adults alcohol, I think more alcohol will be consumed by teens who are inexperienced. I feel this will result in even more tragic stories like the two she related.
