Overall Kozol’s style of writing is compassionate, objective and impartial. He uses real life and real people and lets them tell their story: how they cope with their situation and how their conditions they live under effect who they are.
I have used Calouri’s Five-Step Plan as a guide for writing this essay. I found it to be very helpful in critiquing Kozol’s style of writing.
