Television today is one that varies from educational programs to that containing sexual explicit material. Until recently there was no way for parents to be alarmed of what type of program their children were to be viewing. There is also the "V"-chip which is a computer-encrypted microchip that can screen out objectionable programs. I believe that with all of these technology advances, such as the “V”-chip and this new television rating system, that it will indeed make parents jobs easier from protecting their children from viewing objectionable materials on television.
