Starbucks uses my approach, “A happy employee is a good employee.” Employees who like and care about the company they work for are more likely to do a better job. The work life/personal life program shows employees that Starbucks cares about the employee’s happiness in all areas of life. The employees feel motivated because they are more confident and don’t feel like they are getting thrown into something that they can’t handle. Employees also get training beyond coffee serving. Leadership, diversity, and career development training shows the employee that Starbucks care’s more about just the present. Starbucks wants good employees, and managers, for the future, hopefully with Starbucks.
