>From this point on in the story, Miss Brill’s attitude is changed. She is no longer filled with joy from the activities of the day. She grudgingly goes home, bypassing her “Sunday treat” (123). A day that was once so positive, was suddenly diminished by one overheard conversation. It makes me recall the saying, “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.”
