Horror movies have never particularly interested me but when Evil Dead II was first introduced to me, I immediately fell in love with it. Although it is supposed to be a horror movie, the director, Sam Raimi, added his own twisted sense of humor into it to get a scare and laugh out of his audience. But the facts are that this movie has everything that a horror fan and a comedy fan wants in a movie, there is plenty of guts and gore and through that comes a lot of comedy. Although it may not be considered, by today’s standards, a premium cinematic masterpiece, it pulls in first on my list of the greatest movies because it is smart, funny, violent, and plus the soundtrack is awesome.
