Justification of the Atomic Bomb

On August 6th, 1945 the United States dropped the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima. This military strategy was extremely controversial in the United States. The question I wish to answer is, “Was the United States justified in the dropping of the atomic bomb?” The answer to this question is yes. I believe they were for many reasons. The amount of American lives that Truman saved is immense. I believe the atomic bomb proved to be an extremely important weapon for the United States as it ended such a horrific war. However, I still think that the decision to drop the atomic bomb will always remain controversial.
