was truly a pioneer for modern day production designers. He was trained in acting unlike many designers today. He always knew what he wanted with the set costuming and lighting, and he would do what he needed to get it even with a limited budget. With well over a hundred productions of plays and opera’s under his belt, John Bury will go down in history as one of the greatest all-around production designers ever.
