Over the course of the twentieth century, the media and television have had a tremendous impact on the dissemination of news and information. Recent advances in technology have created innovative ways of transmitting news. I guess you could dub these telecommunications technologies like – cable television, interactive television, electronic mail and the Internet the “New Media”.

The ease with which television and the media can manipulate the beliefs and behavior of people should result in a strong public pressure to improve its content. Unfortunately, I have not noticed any actions being used to help change this problem. At present in my opinion it is up to each person or the parents of children to regulate their exposure, a heavy burden, given that people find TV so attractive.
