views regarding the media’s influence on gender roles and stereotypes that affect the public. Various aspects of media influence our lives on a daily basis. Our group discussion involved a variety of examples that represented a distorted social reality. The main argument that the group found was that men and women of all types were not represented accurately and that the consequences of the media’s actions adversely affected young people in many ways.
