…showed last 75 words of 615 total…not sell his car and his medals to buy more Jews. He states that selling the ring could have saved one more person, one more soul. This section of the book makes me incredibly sad because, no matter how hard he tried, it’s still inevitable. Keneally captures this scene and leaves the reader to think about it for months. This book was truly amazing and is recommended to anyone that enjoys a good book.
