In the story there were lots of references to our Lord, God and Satan, which makes me believe monks wrote and changed the original story. It changed the original meaning that the pagans intended it to have. That is why literature has to be examined carefully and thoughtfully so that people can draw their own conclusion and not someone else’s meaning.
