Sigmund Freud is praised for being the founder of modern psychiatry. He started it up by trying to interpret dreams, which lead him to study personal behaviors. He also studied the unconscious, where thoughts and memories are repressed or sublimated. Although I don’t agree with Freud on his interpretation of dreams I do praise him for his work in psychiatry.
