the risk of executing or killing the innocent can never be eliminated. A crime can be better understood if the person is alive and lives out his life. To put a person to death is to diminish us and our own human ability which is to have sympathy and compassion for one another. Executions are nothing other than barbaric displays of cruelty inflicted on beings that should not have any place in our society today.
