A Parent Decision
The story “Marriage is a Private Affair” and the poem “This Be the Verse” made
me analyze that parents decisions aren’t always the best ones. I think when a parent
decision do not agree with the lives of their children, it can cause conflict between them.
I felt the story by Chinua Achebe and the poem by Philip Lankin gave me a great
appreciation on the impact parents have on their children lives. We

the right choice and obeying them. We do not analyze our parents nor do we ask where did their decision originated from. Parents raised their children to be independent and when they show their independence parents wonder where did they go wrong?
