When the question “what consitutes a redneck?” is asked the variety of
answers is astonishing. People think of rednecks as drunkards, racist, trashy,
or even Monticello people. I have lived in Monticello for sixteen years and
even though most people are rednecks, not all. We chose Monticello to do
our research because it was exactlly the atmosphere we were looking for. In

Natural(nasty)Light. Most girls would drink mixed drinks such as Tom
Collins, Vodka and Orange juice and rum and Coke. Every party there are
two or three designated drivers who also serve as the key keepers. People
don’t drive home drunk, and there is very little if any drug usage. So, as you
can see, there are many things that make rednecks what they are.
